ATHENS, March 14, 2013 – H 520 Barcode Hellas, sole creator and publisher of the barcode codes with the prefix 520, participated as a Gold Sponsor in the Conference 'Greek Product! Power of Development & Extroversion of the Greek Economy', highlighting in practice the company's support for Greek entrepreneurship, retail trade and exports.
Ms. Evanthia Dimou, President and CEO of 520 Barcode Hellas, referred to the offer of the Greek product for the recovery of the Greek economy, as well as the company's contribution and investment in this direction. Specifically, Ms. Dimou stated: "The Greek product can and must be the driving force behind the growth and extroversion of the Greek economy. For this reason, it is important to highlight its value in both the domestic and international markets."
"520 Barcode Hellas also contributes to this fact, as by providing barcode with a 520 prefix on all products, we help to have a homogeneous and recognizable presence throughout the world. The prefix 520 may be the key that will open doors in the export sector, as it is treated internationally as a certification of Greekness. With this code, which is now an international identity, Greek companies have the opportunity to produce and distribute tens of thousands of products worldwide", emphasized Mrs. Dimou.
The conference 'Greek Product! Power of Development & Extroversion of the Greek Economy' was organized by the Development and Progress Company EBEA under the auspices of the Ministry of Development, Competitiveness, Infrastructure, Transport and Networks and OPE on March 13, at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens.
The goal of the conference was to be a platform for dialogue between all involved parties and decision-making centers regarding the criteria that determine the Greekness of products and production, as well as those products that add value to the economy. The conference was attended by a number of executives of Greek and multinational companies active in Greece, representatives of relevant authorities, institutions and Universities.
