Low image resolution produces smaller files that are better suited for sending electronically or for use on a computer. Higher resolution produces PDF files that are better suited for printing. The generated files have a resolution of 72, 144, 300, or 600 dpi. The 300 and 600 dpi files are in PDF format and are always black and white.

The size of the QR Code depends on the content and the Error Correction Level. In typical applications, the small or medium size is sufficient.

Margins in a QR Code are essential for readability. The “Normal” option is sufficient for most applications.

QR Codes include data recovery algorithms for partially damaged symbols. These algorithms allow information to be recovered from QR Code symbols in which 7% to 30% of the contained information has been damaged, depending on the selected “Correction Level”. A high correction level produces a larger QR Code image.

Best readability is achieved by choosing a dark color for the lines and a light background color, with the greatest possible difference in brightness. If you choose colors other than black and white, make sure to test whether the generated QR Code is readable.
